Field Operations

Beam Pumping & Artificial Lift

Beam pumping units — known in the field as balancines, bombas de gancho, or cigüeñas — are the workhorses of mature oil production. A counterbalanced walking beam converts rotary motion at surface into the vertical stroke that drives a downhole sucker-rod pump, lifting crude to the wellhead once reservoir pressure alone can no longer do it.

Humble Energy operates and services these units as part of its production and workover scope: sizing the pump and rod string to reservoir inflow, tuning stroke length and speed against fluid level, and keeping wells producing through the full cycle of their productive life.
